Ceramic Fiber Bulk
Ceramic Fiber Description
Ceramic fiber bulk is high temperature refractory insulation material. The common ceramic fiber is made of flint clay, HP Alumina, silica powder, Zirconia. which is meltdown in computer-controlled resistance furnaces and processed by blowing or swinging technology.
What’s ceramic fiber?
Ceramic fiber is known as aluminum silicate fiber. Because, its main components are aluminum oxide, and aluminum oxide is the main component of ceramic, so we call the aluminum silicate fiber as ceramic fiber. When adding zirconia or chromium oxide, that can increase the resistant temperature of ceramic fiber.
Features of ceramic fiber:
- High strength efficient insulation material.
- Low weight, thermal conductivity, and heat capacity.
- Strong tensile strength.
- Excellent corrosion resistance.
- Excellent sound insulation.
- Stable performance.
- clean and white color
- No bond and corrosive material with very good antioxidation property

Applications
- Heat insulation materials for various high-temperature industrial kilns; Ceramic kilns,
- The hot lining of machinery and gold curing furnace, heat treatment furnace, and other industrial kilns;
- High-temperature fire insulation materials, kiln door, kiln car, expansion joints, and other thermal insulation materials;
- Glass kiln for heating insulation
- Process to ceramic fiber blanket, module, textiles, ropes, tubes, and silicone fiberboard that will process to insulation parts
Blowing vs Swinging ceramic fiber
- The swinging ceramic has longer fiber (150~250mm) and larger OD (3.0~5.0㎛).
- The blowing ceramic has shorter fiber(100~200mm) and smaller OD(2.0~3.0㎛).
- Swinging ceramic is with higher tensile strength.
- The thermal conductivity of blowing ceramic is better than swinging one, due to the thinner fiber.
- Swinging ceramic is with thick fiber and strong tensile strength, so it’s better to make ceramic fiber blanket, module, textiles, ropes, tubes, and silicone fiberboard that will process to insulation parts.
- Blowing ceramic is with thin fiber. Tensile strength is lower than swinging ones, so swinging ceramic is used more widely.
